Happy 5th birthday to my not-so-little Ryker!
When did this happen?!
I don't remember telling him he could grow up.
In a perfect world he would stay four forever.
Well, the reality is that this world is far from perfect.
I guess five it is.
Here's to another fantastic year to my awesome kiddo, I love you buddy!
We threw him a lego party.
He had asked for a Boba Fett party (the guy from Star Wars) and that terrified me.
I know very little about Star Wars and even less about that guy.
What would we have done?
Run around shooting each other and hitting each other with light sabers?
I knew he wouldn't mind being persuaded to do legos instead.

These fun little Lego Pops were a HUGE hit!
Lego crackers made by the two most awesome moms in the world!
Yoohoo for the birthday boy who loves chocolate milk & juice for others that aren't milk connoisseurs like my Ryke-tyke.
This was the first year I got a store-bought cake.
The little man insisted it was what he wanted. Costco @ $17.99... DONE!
It's a lot less work for me.
We spruced it up with a lego guy to hold the candle/torch.
My two wonderful moms helped me wrap all these wooden building blocks for added decorations.
Party favor bags. Each one had a small lego set in it and they collected treats from the piñata to add to it later.
PARTY GAMES:
pin the birthday hat on the lego man
water squirt relay
piñata
I was planning on reusing a felt blindfold I had sewn for last year's pin the mustache on Ryker game. Problem was I couldn't find it in all the boys' toys.
Instead I made a quick improvisation and put masking tape in the eye holes of this batman mask.
It did the trick and they look super while playing the game!
The piñata had a pre-party accident when Garren crawled out on the rope holding it. Garth had to doctor it up with some fix-it-all duct tape.
PARTY FRIENDS:
Many of these ideas I pinned to a board on pinterest here.
